Indian Army chief Mukund Narwane slams Pakistan over Handwara encounter

Srinagar: Two days after the Handwara encounter, Indian Army Chief General MM Narwane said that Pakistan will continue to retaliate until Pakistan abandons the policy of promoting terrorism from across the border. He also said that increasing efforts to infiltrate the border showed that Pakistan was not willing to fight against Corona. On Saturday, 5 brave soldiers of the Indian Army were killed in an encounter with terrorists in Handwara of Jammu and Kashmir.

General Narwane said that the increasing incidence of ceasefire violations by Pakistan on the LOC in Jammu and Kashmir suggests that it is an international risk. Pakistan is still on its limited agenda to infiltrate terrorists into India. The Army Chief also said that unless Pakistan abandons its policy encouraging terrorism, we will continue to respond in a fair and accurate manner. The army chief warned Pakistan that the Indian Army would give a befitting reply to all violations of the ceasefire and supporting terrorism.
