Srinagar: A Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist has been killed in an overnight encounter in the Anantnag district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Three soldiers and a civilian were also reported to have been injured in the encounter. Kashmir zone police have given information in this regard on Saturday. Objectionable material, arms and ammunition, including an AK-47 rifle, were recovered from the spot. The operation is still going on.''

A police spokesman said the encounter began in the Rishipora area of Anantnag on Friday evening. He said three soldiers and a civilian were injured in the initial firing with the militants. "All the injured were rushed to 92 base hospital in Srinagar for immediate treatment and their condition is said to be stable. Militants in south Kashmir's Shopian district targeted non-Kashmiri labourers on Friday. In Jainapura, terrorists attacked the labourers with grenades.
