Indian Army receives the second batch of 'shoot to kill' Rifle

New Delhi: With the ongoing disputes between China and India on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladak, the Indian Army started sharpening its preparations against them. Under this, the Indian Army has planned to buy 72 thousand American assault rifles. India will buy all these modern weapons from America.

After this batch arrival, Army places the order for the second batch of guns also. Before this, the Army received 72 thousand American assault rifles, used in Northern Command and Operational Area. The most important feature of a rifle being it can shoot up to 500 meters (half a kilometer) and has a bore of 7.62mm. The bullets are heavier and deadly than any other one. It strikes at target accurately and at a very shot, it can kill an enemy, thus referred to as 'shoot to kill' rifle.

"With the budget for its weapons, 72 thousand more American assault rifles are ordered, increasing the strength military forces," Military sources added. Earlier, 72 thousand Sig 716 assault rifles are received by the Indian Army and are being used in terrestrial operations. India had signed a deal of Rs 700 crore to purchase 72,000 rifles from the US under fast track procedures, earlier.
