The list was calculated based on a crowdsourced data that had 477,287 valid ratings for the 15,748 foods in the database. The top 100 cuisines had the highest average scores. Users even went on to question the authenticity of the list. A user took to mention how Indian food is more than simply dal roti. How India could not make it to the Top 10 even? As always, opinions are many. What matters is how the public reviews are taken. Are people really open to the acceptance of opinions? Taste Atlas was questioned about its reviews back in 2022, when it replied that its based on the 15000 dishes in its database which is open to vote throughout the year.
