NEW DELHI: After National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval's visit to Russia, foreign minister S. Modi is now preparing for his visit to Vladivostok next month. Jaishankar will embark on a two-day visit to Moscow on August 27. Modi will visit Vladivostok as the chief guest at the 5th Eastern Economic Forum and to attend the 20th Annual Bilateral Summit between the two countries.
This will be Jaishankar's first visit to Moscow since assuming office. He will hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Modi's visit and discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest. Jaishankar will also meet Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov. The External Affairs Ministry said in a statement that the ministers will also participate in the session at the Valdai Disclosure Club.
On August 21, NSA Ajit Doval was in Moscow in preparation for PM Modi's visit to Vladivostok and held talks with his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patewe, during which the two sides held talks with the principles of "sovereignty and territorial integrity" and the principles of third parties. Did not intervene" reaffirming his support commitment. During Doval's visit, the two countries held talks on regional and international issues.
