New Delhi: If you travel in an Ola or Uber cab, then there has been news of a work for you. Actually, traveling in Ola or Uber cabs can be cheaper in the coming days. The government is going to make new rules for cab aggregators soon, after which it will be cheaper for passengers to travel in cabs by 10 percent.
According to sources, the Transport Ministry is going to make such rules under which cab aggregators will be able to take a maximum of 10 percent commission on the total fare earned from any passengers. Let me tell you that currently this commission is 20 percent. If this rule comes into force then the commission fee earned on the passenger fare of the cab aggregators will be reduced. In such a situation, it is clear that travel in Ola-Uber will be cheaper than now.
Not only this, the cab aggregators will be doubled under the charge of surge pricing, charging more than three times the rent. According to sources, in order to regulate cab aggregators, there is a plan to either capping or setting maximum limits on surge pricing. If sources are to be believed, the government is also going to curb the Surge pricing on all cab aggregators like Ola-Uber.
