New Delhi: For the past several days, the scorching heat has been wreaking havoc in many states of India. In many states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Haryana, and Rajasthan, the temperature is continuously increasing. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has made a prediction that has added to the anxiety of the general public. In fact, the Met department has predicted that this time the maximum temperature is likely to rise to 50 degrees Celsius.

The IMD in its forecast has said that from the point of view of meteorologically, it is possible to reach a temperature up to 50 degrees Celsius. Since the month of May is the hottest month, the temperature in some areas of western Rajasthan may even touch 50 degrees Celsius. However, this is not an all-time high record. According to the records, the maximum temperature has gone up to 52.6 degrees Celsius. The Met department has said that the heatwave is going to continue in various states. There is no hope of getting relief soon, but there is definitely good news. 

Actually, this time the rain situation is likely to improve slightly. So far, the entire country has received 32 per cent less rainfall than normal since March. In the month of May, this time, 109 per cent rainfall is expected to be more than normal. Maximum temperatures in West, Central, and Northwest will remain above normal. In addition, the minimum temperature is also going to remain above normal in the Northwest, Central, and East.
