The range of this missile is 290 km. Which is also said to be the world's fastest cruise missile with a high speed of Mach 2.8 (almost three times the speed of sound).

Air Force has also tested BrahMos: Reports say that before this, Indian Air Force has also successfully tested the air launched version of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile in the Bay of Bengal. The Air Force had conducted this test in October. Which has been called a major success in the field of indigenous weapon systems. The test was conducted from Sukhoi fighter aircraft: Not only this, in October the Indian Air Force had successfully tested the BrahMos air-launched version missile from the Sukhoi-30MKI fighter aircraft. The Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jet of the Indian Air Force is loaded with the capability to launch BrahMos cruise missiles. Which is capable of attacking enemy targets at long distances.

After this missile test, defense officials had told the media that, "In the last few days, the BrahMos air-launched missile was launched from a Sukhoi 30MKI fighter jet. The jet took off with the missile from an air base in the southern peninsula. And traveled more than 1,500 km while successfully attacking a target."
