New Delhi: The central government has made arrangements for 500 isolation coaches in the capital on Tuesday, in view of the lack of beds for the patients of Corona in the hospitals of Delhi. 8000 beds for Corona patients have increased in Delhi. There are 16 to 16 beds in every compartment of the isolation ward of the railway. After giving 500 isolation coaches by the center, the total number of beds in Delhi has reached 37000.
A team of Indian Railways worked with the officers of the Delhi government to identify these railway coaches and identified locations. According to officials, on Tuesday, around 180 isolation coaches have been deployed at Anand Vihar railway station and at other stations. The Chief Medical Officer of the state will oversee these isolation wards.
After a meeting on Monday, Delhi BJP President Aadesh Kumar Gupta said that after getting 500 railway isolation coaches to Delhi, the number of beds for corona patients in the capital will be 37000. These Covid care centers of the railways will be connected to the nearest hospital so that patients in an emergency situation can be taken there quickly. For this, Railways have appointed nodal officers for every state, who will coordinate with the local government.
