New Delhi: The Indian Railways has given a lot of relief in tea and coffee rates to passengers who do not pre-book catering service on trains. Yes, and from now on, passengers on the running train will get tea and coffee for Rs 20 only. This means that now they will not have to pay an additional Rs 50 as a service charge. Let me tell you that earlier it used to be 70 rupees including tea, and coffee service charges. However, the Railway Board has issued orders in this regard. Now, passengers who do not book the catering service in advance in trains will now be charged for catering under the new order.

In fact, in earlier trains, if the passenger did not book the catering service with the ticket, then it was costly to order catering in the moving trains. Yes, and on ordering anything from the catering service in trains, a service charge of Rs 50 had to be paid, whether it was Rs 20 or Rs 200. Due to this, the passengers who ordered only tea, and coffee in the second third or chair car were very expensive, they had to pay Rs 20 for tea and coffee with a service charge of Rs 70.

However, even now other things will be expensive for the passengers who do not book the facility of catering in advance, due to this, it will be difficult for the passengers to book the service of catering while booking the ticket. Let me tell you that in the past, such a case was very high-lighted in the media. Yes, and keeping this in mind, the Railway Board has taken a decision to give relief to the passengers. The charging of catering in the first AC and second, third and chair car are different. IRCTC, which provides catering services in trains, will now charge passengers under the new order.
