The Western Railway Division of Indian Railways has decided to increase the trips of some special trains for the convenience of passengers amidst the ongoing corona epidemic in the same country. Railways said that the frequency of special trains is being increased to facilitate more number of passengers and to reduce congestion in trains.

For the convenience of passengers, trips of 20 Special Trains are being extended.

According to railways, these trains are going to run between UP, Bihar, and Maharashtra. Booking of tickets for travel in some of these trains has started today i.e. Passengers can book for these special trains on 10th, 11th, and 12th May from the designated PRS counter or IRCTC portal.

Railways said only passengers with confirmed tickets will be allowed to travel in special trains. It will be mandatory to follow corona guidelines like social distancing, etc. In addition, the frequency of Mumbai-Manduadih-Dadar Superfast trains has also been increased. Special trains will also be introduced between Mumbai Central- Gorakhpur, Bandra-Ghazipur-Valsadh, and Surat-Bhagalpur-Ratlam. Bookings for these trains will be on 09th, 11th and 12th May. Corona protocol is required to be followed for travel.
