NEW DELHI: Due to operational and maintenance related work, Indian Railways had to cancel a number of trains today, March 14, 2023. To maintain passenger safety, the railway department does engineering work every week on several lines. Trains from numerous cities, such as Kolkata, Pune, Lucknow, etc., are included in the list.
It should be highlighted that customers who purchased tickets through the IRCTC website don't have to worry about changes or refunds. Their tickets will be automatically cancelled, and the passengers' accounts will be credit with the refund. But in order to receive a refund, customers who purchased their tickets at a counter must go to the train reservation counter.

- Balasore-Bhadrak-Balasore Special Train No. 8031/8032
- Jajpur Keonjhar Road-Kharagpur Express Train No. 18038
- Kharagpur-Balasore-Kharagpur Special Train No. 08017/08018
- Up trains: 31525 (Shantipur), 31331 (Kalyani Simanta), 31333 (Kalyani Simanta), 31601 (Ranaghat), 31537 (Shantipur), 31443 (Naihati), 31813 (Krishnanagar), 31151 (Barddhaman), 31613 (Ranaghat), 41313 (Naihati), 31471 (Naihati) (Naihati).
- Down trains: 31322 (Kalyani Simanta), 31824 (Krishnanagar), 31432 (Naihati), 31434 (Naihati), 31528 (Shantipur), 31330 (Kalyani Simanta), 31332 (Kalyani Simanta), 31634 (Ranaghat), 31152 (Barddhaman), 31112 (Katwa), 37522 (Ba (Krishnanagar).
- Passenger and express trains: 12383 (Asansol Intercity), 13179 (Sealdah - SIURI), 13177 (Sealdah - Jangipur Road), 13187 (Sealdah - Rampurhat), 12384 (Asansol Intercity), 13180 (Siuri - Sealdah), 13178 (Jangipur Road - Sealdah), and 13188 (Rampurhat – Sealdah).
Some Trains that were only partially cancelled:
- The Azamgarh-Kolkata express train number 13138 will depart from Chhapra rather than Azamgarh.
- Pune-Lucknow Express JCO Train 12103
- The Kharagpur-Bhadrak-Kharagpur Special Train Numbers 08063/08064 will short-terminate at Balasore
- The short-termination point for Train No. 13137, Kolkata-Azamgarh Express, would be Chhapra rather than Azamgarh.
The JCO 12455/12456 Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Bikaner-Delhi Sarai Rohilla express would be rerouted to avoid the stoppages at Sangrur-Dhuri-Barnala-Rampura Phul by running via Sonarpur.
- A train detour that stops in Dakshineswar and Dankuni while travelling from Dum Dum Jn. to that location.
