Indian sprinter Simran has advanced to the final of the women's 100m (T12) event at the Paralympics, clocking an impressive 12.33 seconds in the semifinals. With her guide Abhay Singh by her side, the 24-year-old athlete finished second in her semifinal heat, behind Germany's Katrin Mueller-Rottgardt.

Simran, who was born with visual impairment, has consistently shown strong performance. In the semifinal, she was ranked third overall and will now compete in the final alongside Mueller-Rottgardt, Ukraine's Oksana Boturchuk, and Cuba's Omara Durand. The T12 category is designed for athletes with visual impairments.

Simran's journey to the final is remarkable, particularly given her season’s best of 12.17 seconds achieved during the heats. The final race will showcase a competitive field, including reigning Paralympic champion and world record holder Durand.
