Indian swimmer Sajan Prakash strandded at the practice center in Phuket, Thailand due to Kovid-19 epidemic. The lockdown has given Indian swimmer Sajan Prakash, trapped at the practice center in Phuket, Thailand, additional time to recover from injury due to cancellation or postponement of the Kovid-19 epidemic.

Sajan went to Phuket in February to prepare for the swimming competitions, hoping to achieve the 'A' qualifying criteria for the Olympics, but he could not return home due to a lockdown in the country. Sajan said, 'I am in Phuket and safe here.'

The Indian swimmer is at Tanyapura Academy along with 18 other swimmers from different countries. Sajan received scholarship from the International Swimming Federation (FINA). He said, 'I came here on 12 February in connection with the practice. I'm comfortable here. I have got scholarship from FINA so I have no problem. Sajan was the only Indian swimmer to participate in the Rio Olympics four years ago. He achieved the 'B' qualifying criterion for the Tokyo Olympic Games at the Gwangju World Championships last year, but achieved the 'A' criteria by taking a minute 56.48 seconds or less to make it to the postponed games until next year.
