New Delhi: Since the snowfall in the mountains, the cold wave has increased in the plains. Several other states, including the capital of the country, are expected to grow cold. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert. Today morning mist and chill were also seen in the national capital Delhi.
People in the capital, especially those living on the streets or working overnight under the open sky, are trying to keep themselves warm by burning bonfires, while many homeless people take shelter in the government-run night shelters. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for the coming 72 hours.
The Meteorological Department has predicted a cold wave in Delhi from December 23 to December 26, along with the possibility of dense fog. Many parts of North India are currently under the grip of cold wave and in many places, the minimum temperature has been recorded below 5 degree Celsius. On the other hand, Kashmir has recorded an increase in the minimum temperature due to cloudy conditions.
