New Delhi: The Indian women's cricket team has once again proved its dominance in Asia. The final match of the Women's Asia Cup 2022 was played between India and Sri Lanka on Saturday (October 15). In this, the Indian team crushed the Sri Lankan team badly by 8 wickets. With the defeat of Sri Lanka, Team India won the trophy for the 7th time in the history of the Asia Cup. While the big thing is that so far there have been a total of 8 seasons of the Asia Cup. That is, except for one season, the Indian team has become the winner every time. One season Bangladesh won last time, in that too Team India reached the final.

Let us know that this time the Women's Asia Cup was played in Bangladesh. All the matches, including the final, were played in Sylhet. In the final match played today i.e. on Saturday, the Sri Lankan team won the toss and batted first, but its start was poor. The Sri Lankan team did not move in front of India's mayhem bowling. Sri Lanka lost 2 wickets on a total score of 9 runs and both of them were run out. After this, fast bowler Renuka Singh sent 3 players to the pavilion and brought the Sri Lankan team completely to its knees. The rest was done by spinners Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Sneh Rana. Both these spinners took 2-2 wickets.  

In this way, the Sri Lankan team could score only 65 runs losing 9 wickets. Ranaweera scored 18 and Oshadi Ranasinghe scored 13 runs. Along with these, the remaining 9 batsmen of the Sri Lankan team could not even touch the second-digit figure. In response to the target of 66 runs, Team India won the match by 8 wickets. Team India's Smriti Mandhana and captain Harmanpreet Kaur took Sri Lankan bowlers on remand and returned after winning the match. Mandhana played an unbeaten and smoky innings of 51 run off 25 balls. While Harman scored 11 runs off 14 balls. Appreciation to her inning, Team India won the match by making 71 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 8.3 overs.
