India's budget lays out a roadmap for the next 25 years: Goa's Chief Minister

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Tuesday that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's budget will create a blueprint for India for the next 25 years.

"The Union Budget presented during the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' year is aimed towards realising Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji's vision of India@100. The proposed Budget2022 is prepared with the goal of enhancing the economy's 'Gati & Shakti' for the country's bright future, while providing true fairness to all sectors of the economy "In a tweet, Sawant stated.

"I am confident that this exercise, as stated by FM, is a Blueprint for the next 25 years, i.e. 'Amrit Kaal,'" the Chief Minister remarked.

On Tuesday, February 1, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2022, which was addressed without the use of paper. Her remarks was read aloud from a tablet. This was the second budget since India was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. With the country's economy on the mend despite the pandemic's impact, all eyes were on the government, which was closely scrutinised for how it balanced its annual budgetary plan for the coming year.
