In the 22nd Asian Athletics Championship in Bhubaneswar, Odisha at a Men's 400m event the Indian Muhammed Anas won a Gold and Rajiv Arokia took a Silver.
Anas said, "I am very happy, this medal win will further motivate us,". In the 100m Women's finals, Dutee Chand won a Bronze medal and Nirmala Sheoran won gold in women's 400m. In the shot put category, Tejinder Pal won Silver.
In the Men's 1500m event Ajay Kumar Saroj won gold and in the women's 1500m event P.U. Chitra won gold.
