New Delhi: An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Bengaluru has been reported to have caught fire in its engine. There was panic among the passengers sitting on the plane when they saw the fire in the engine from the window. This incident has been seen while the plane is taking off. Due to this, the aircraft was stopped at Delhi airport. The plane couldn't take off. According to media reports, the accident took place on the IndiGo flight (6E-2131) from Delhi to Bengaluru.

All passengers and crew members are safe: A statement has also come out from IndiGo airline about the incident. It said that flight 6E2131, which took off from Delhi to Bangalore, faced a technical problem between take-off rolls. Soon after, the pilot stopped take-off. The plane returned to its bay. The airline has said that all passengers and crew members are safe. The airline has said that an alternate aircraft is being arranged for flight operations. We regret the inconvenience caused to the passengers.

 

A  day earlier, an accident with an Akasa Aeroplane. A Delhi-bound Akasa Air flight from Ahmedabad to Delhi was hit by a bird on Thursday. However, despite this, the aircraft landed safely in Delhi. The Boeing 737 MAX plane landed safely and all passengers were offloaded upon arrival, the airline said.
