In the men's section, Taylor Fritz defeated Serbia's Miomir Kesmanovic 7-6, 3-6, 6-1 to advance to the semi-finals for the second time in five months. Fritz will now face Russia's 7th seed Andre Rublev, who defeated Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov 7-5 6-2.
According to reports, the two Spanish players will face each other in the second semi-final on Saturday, with Rafael Nadal taking on 18-year-old Carlos Alcarez.
