Intelligence Bureau alert in border areas, police administration on alert

Bikaner: Following the removal of Section 370 of the Constitution granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the IB has issued a high alert in the border areas over the threat of attack by Pakistani security agency ISI ahead of Eid and Independence Day. Meanwhile, a thorough search is on for the vehicles which were blocked by the police in Khajuwala area.

According to the information received by the sources, the local police is strictly interrogating the suspects. In addition, the police have urged the people of the villages near the international border to seek assistance. Khajuwala CO Dev Anand has issued instructions to Khajuwala SHO Vikram Chauhan, Poogal SHO Mahavir Prasad, Chattargarh SHO Sandeep Kumar and Dantore SHO Bhajan Lal to ensure security in their area.

With this, the police is keeping a close watch on every person who is suspected to be in the border villages. They are being questioned on suspicion of persons coming from outside. An official said, they have received an alert for terror attacks and the administration is on high alert to avoid any untoward incident.
