"West Bengal One Of Least Corrupt States": Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata: West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee said that West Bengal has emerged as one of the least corrupt states in the country. On the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, Mamata Banerjee has cited 'India Corruption Survey 2019'. For information, let us tell you that this survey has been done by Transparency International India and Lockle Circle.

CM Mamta Banerjee tweeted that "Today is International Anti-Corruption Day. You will be happy to know that as per the India Corruption Survey 2019, conducted by Transparency International India and Local Circles, #Bangla has emerged as one of the least-corrupt States in India. My best wishes to all,"

In the 'India Corruption Survey 2019', 1,90,000 people from 248 districts have shared their experiences, of which 51 percent Indian people have bribed in the last 12 months. In this survey, people of Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, West Bengal, Goa and Odisha had reported fewer cases of corruption, while Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Punjab have reported more cases of corruption.
