International Cricket Betting racket in Rajasthan used Jai Mata di, Jai Govind dev Ji Chants

The Jaipur city police commissioner’s special team (CST) and the local police has arrested two men related to the international betting racket. An international betting racket has allegedly used religious slangs to refer to WhatsApp and social media groups in order to evade suspicion of the betting. Chants like Jai Mata di, Jai Govind dev ji, Balaji Maharaj ki jai were used by the betters to avoid suspicion. This is one of the biggest online betting racks in the country. The betting racket came to light by the police raid.

The Increase of Gaming and Online Gambling in India

The raid was conducted on the mid-night of Wednesday and Thursday. INR 4.18 crore cash was seized in the raid. An information about the betting rackets came to the notice of Jaipur city police commissioner’s special team (CST). In the last two weeks, two raids were conducted and information about Dwarka Prasad and Rajesh Kumar was collected. The accused were planning to use the crores of rupees on betting rackets during the ongoing IPL season. A residential complex was raided and identified two persons Randheer Singh and Ankit Jodha were involved in betting. The accused formed Whatsapp groups and other social media groups to maintain transaction records. 

The gambling gang was arrested by the Peddapalli police

The cops said that the accused named their Whatsapp groups as Jai Mata di, Jai Govind dev g, Balaji Maharaj ki jai, Khoriyar Mata ki. Code words Kilo and Chicken were used to denote Lakh and crore respectively. The betting team also has opened a banking enterprise to disperse the money. They were charged under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Earlier, few people were arrested in relation to betting in Hyderabad.
