Indian gymnast Dipa Karmakar, who finished fourth in the vault event at the Rio Olympics, has been suspended by the International  Gymnastics Body (FIG) in a tough decision. According to reports, Karmakar, who is present in Agartala, has no information about this. She has not responded so far in this regard. Her coach Bisheshwar Nandi has said that Dipa has been shocked to hear about this. We are also trying to find out why the International Federation has marked Dipa as suspended.  

In this regard, Dipa has said that no word has been reached with the Gymnast Federation of India in this regard. According to her, as soon as we come to know about this issue, everyone is going to be informed. Nandi is currently a part of the gymnast federation of India's national camp.  

GFI president Sudhir Mittal said, "He has said that there is no information about Dipa's suspension from the FIG. We are going to clarify this issue from the international body.''
