Corona pandemic destruction is worldwide. The Osmania University was a desired destination for international students during this epidemic. Proving that the Covid-19 epidemic has not reduced the enthusiasm of international students seeking admission to various courses offered by Ou, the university has already received over 800 applications from foreign students from over 60 countries, who have received temporary admissions this year. The number of admissions to BE/ BTech/ ME/ MTech courses is still in progress and the number of admissions can increase to another 50.

But there is another positive development in this year's admissions, which is to be noted here, with 62 applications for university PhD admissions from foreign students through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and the Ethiopian Embassy. In the past 21 years, starting with the enrollment of 77 foreign students in 1999, foreign admissions reached a high level in 2014-15, with 1,744 students from 87 countries joining various courses under U. Till last year, a total of 17,472 foreign students have studied various courses offered by the university at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.

It should be noted that the number of admissions has been reduced to 450 in 2018-19 and 424 in 2019-20 for various reasons. At the end of the 2019-20 academic year, 1,856 foreign students from 68 countries are studying in U. Toattract foreign students from various countries,OU has launched several programs, including hostel facility for both boys and girls, taking into consideration some of the fee waiver in some cases of government-sponsored candidates, online admissions and online payment systems. The University has applied for infrastructure grantfrom the Centre Study in India Programme by promising matching grant for the construction of women's hostel.
