IIT Madras is taking the internet by storm for asking the whackiest and the most unexpected question ever during an exam. It is to be noted that in its recent end-semester examination, for the subject Material and Energy Balances (MEB), the institution included a case study in the question paper, asking students, "What should Dhoni do if he wins the toss?" The question was based on the weather conditions, using which they had to decide if Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni should go for batting or fielding, if he won the toss.

Here it is worth mention here that the question paper was even shared by International Cricket Council (ICC) on Twitter. They shared the picture of the question paper with the caption, "Shout out to Professor Vignesh at @iitmadras for making exams relevant to important, real-life issues! Can anyone help @msdhoni and @ChennaiIPL make a decision before the toss tomorrow? (and show your workings)."

To be noted that Twitter obviously had some hilarious reactions to this situation. Apparently, the question paper was set up to enhance the students' learning experience by taking example of cricket in the backdrop of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).It is needed to mention here that ICC also praised Professor Vignesh, the man behind the now-viral question paper and thinking of such an amazing question for his students.

In fact, the man was so thorough while considering real-life circumstances in the question paper that he even listed the pre-assumed weather conditions and asked students to calculate if the water droplets would affect the team’s performance. It is worth mention here that according to reports, the professor wanted to make the learning experience fun. He said, "I had set this question as a way to test students' understanding of psychrometric charts and dew point calculation."
