Kamal Nath government likely to fall, tomorrow will be decisive day

CAT gave this instruction after hearing the government of Karnataka. The state government had sought permission to take disciplinary action against the IAS officer on the recommendation of the Election Commission. The bench said that if the reply of the officer was unsatisfactory, then a retired Chief Secretary should be investigated.

During the Lok Sabha elections last year, Karnataka cadre officer Mohsin was posted as an observer in Sambhal, Odisha. He had probed Modi's helicopter. For this, he was suspended. After receiving the report of a senior Election Commission official, the commission recommended disciplinary action against Mohsin. However, his suspension was canceled. In its order, the bench also cited the Election Commission's order of 25 April 2019, in which it had recommended disciplinary action against Mohsin to the Government of Karnataka.
