The vaccination programme will start from 16th January in India amidst the corona epidemic. The Chief Secretary of Telangana, Somesh Kumar has urged that the public representatives should also be included in the first phase of vaccination. He also said that all arrangements have been made for vaccination in the state.

Union Cabinet secretary Rajiv Gauba held a meeting on Saturday through a video conference on corona vaccination preparations with Chief Secretaries of all states and lieutenant governors of union territories. Taking the experience of dry run in the States and Union Territories, he called for adopting an effective scheme in the implementation of the vaccination process. On which chief secretary of the Telangana government, Somesh Kumar told the cabinet secretary that the state government has made all vaccination arrangements in the entire region.

Somesh Kumar urged the cabinet secretary to include Panchayat Raj employees in vaccination as there is a crisis of corona infection during work. Simultaneously, the public representatives should be included in the first phase of vaccination on priority. Telangana Health Minister Atla Rajinder also said the same thing to the Union Health Minister in the last video conference. It is noteworthy that the vaccination programme in India will commence from 16th January. Earlier, vaccine health workers and frontline workers will be deployed with an estimated figure of about 3 crore. This will be followed by vaccines for people above the age of 50 years and those below the age who are already suffering from a serious disease. The figure of such persons is about 2.7 crores.
