Indian Olympic Association (IOA) General Secretary Rajiv Mehta has said that the country comes first. Treasurer Anandeshwar Pandey said that it is his personal suggestion that the IOA should end its sponsorship with Li-Ning. Pandey said that it is my personal opinion that IOA should immediately end its sponsorship with Li-Ning. This is the time when we should boycott China and its products. Mehta further said that Li-Ning is a Chinese brand and has an agreement with the Tokyo Olympics.  This will be considered in the annual general meeting. No decision will be taken at a personal level. They are sponsors of the kit in our Olympics, but for us, our country comes first. However, IOA signed an agreement with Li-Ning in May 2018. According to this agreement, the company will sponsor the players' clothes, shoes.
