With the help of two goals from Karim Benzema, Real Madrid maintained the title war with Barcelona in the Spanish Football League La Liga by defeating Valencia 3–0. Real Madrid have now only two points behind Barcelona with this victory recorded on their home ground. On Tuesday, Barcelona beat Leganes 2–0, which is their second win since their return. The league was stalled for nearly three months due to the Corona virus. Madrid's team did not perform well in the first half, but they soon controlled the game in the second half.

However, in the first half, Valencia scored the goal, but after the video review this goal was declared invalid. Benzema scored his first goal in the 61st minute on a pass from Aiden Hazard. Marco Essencia, playing for the first time after suffering a knee injury last year, stepped onto the field as a substitute player in the 74th minute and also scored a goal within 30 seconds.

After this Benzema scored his second and third goal for the team in the 86th minute. Meanwhile, Real Sociedad suffered a 2–0 defeat to Elves at the hands of which again failed to finish fourth. For Elves, Borja Senz scored in the 56th minute while Martin Agurgabiriya scored in the second half injury time.
