Indian opening star batsmen Shikhar Dhawan, who is currently tasting a admirably run as he finished as the third highest run-getter in the recently concluded Nidahas T20I series in Sri Lanka. From five matches, Shikhar Dhawan scored 198 runs averaging 39.60 with a strike rate of 145.58. Dhawan posted his individual best in the shortest format after pummeling a 49-ball 90 in the opening match against Sri Lanka.
Ahead of the cricketing affair, slated to start from April 7, Dhawan was retained by the 2016 IPL Champions Sunrisers Hyderabad, besides Australia's monster David Warner, and lethal with the ball Bhuvneshwar Kumar. "IPL is going to be exciting. It’s a fresh season and we have so many new faces and the team looks good. Hopefully, I will be fresh and fit to perform," Dhawan said at the sidelines of a promotional event.
Shikhar Dhawan, who started his IPL journey with the Delhi Daredevils has also played for the Mumbai Indian outfit and Deccan Chargers before finally featuring for SRH from 2013. The 32-year-old has amassed 3561 runs from 127 matches averaging 32.67 with a strike rate of 121.87. The southpaw is yet to notch up an IPL ton but has 28 fifties under the belt.
