Kolkata Knight Riders got off ta perfect start in IPL 2019 with a thrilling win over Sunrisers Hyderabad at home. The victory was made possible due to a blistering late attack by their trump card Andre Russell, who remained unbeaten on 49 off 19 deliveries to bring the Eden Gardens Alive. The Knights will now host Kings XI Punjab at home.

KXIP's match against RR triggered a huge controversy as R Ashwin Mankaded set batsman Jos Buttler - in an incident which many experts believe wasn't in the right spirit of the game. Reactions continue to pour in over the incident and it would be interesting to see whether Punjab decide to Mankad more batsman, or whether KKR decide to give KXIP a taste of their own medicine. The match will be played at Eden Gardens - a ground which is expected to be full of spectators - who are expected to turn in big numbers after a great finish to KKR's opening match at the same venue.
