New Delhi: In the final match of IPL 2023, 4-time winner Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) will face on Monday (May 29). This final match was to be played on May 28 (Sunday), but the rain spoiled all the fun and the match went to reserve day. Now fans will hope that the final match to be held at The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will be completed without any interruption.

This is the first time in the 15-year history of the IPL that a final match has gone to the reserve day. The final matches played in the last 15 IPL seasons were completed on the scheduled day and all those matches were not interrupted due to rain or other reasons. Today, in the reserve day, this final match will start at 7.30 pm Indian time, while the toss time will be at 7 pm. If not a single ball is thrown in the reserve-day, then the Gujarat Titans team will become the champion, as they were at the top of the points table.

Let us know that GT entered the final by defeating Mumbai Indians (MI) by 62 runs in the Qualifier-2 match. At the same time, Dhoni's CSK entered the title match by defeating Gujarat Titans by 15 runs in Qualifier-1. In the final match, all eyes will be on Chennai, captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Dhoni, who will soon be 42 years old, will probably be seen playing in the yellow jersey for the last time. Dhoni had said after Qualifier-1 that he can not say anything about the next IPL season right now, because there is 8-9 months to think about it.
