Jos Buttler, the centre of the Rajasthan Royals' batting lineup, required numerous stitches on his left little finger during the team's IPL match against Punjab Kings, and he might miss their match against Delhi Capitals on April 8.

The Royals suffered a five-run defeat. As  Buttler received stitches for a minor finger injury sustained while taking a catch to get rid of PBKS batter Shahrukh Khan, Ravichandran Ashwin was elevated to the position of opener.

In the final over, Buttler went from deep and grabbed a sliding catch off Jason Holder's bowling, but as he left the pitch with a few balls left, he immediately appeared to be in pain. Jos was unhealthy. After the catch, he needed sutures for his finger, the captain Sanju Samson said at the post-game awards ceremony.

In reality,   Buttler came to pick up his check while wearing a distinguishing white strapping on his little finger. He had won a sponsor's prize for the best catch.

The Royals medical team may decide to let him rest for a game or two with the following game being played within 72 hours because the finger will undoubtedly be uncomfortable and fielding may be problematic.

There were anxious times,   Dhawan said. Although though Shikhar Dhawan has been excellent at managing the Punjab Kings team, he did admit that he felt anxious when Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel brought the game down to the wire.

"There were certainly anxious moments, but I remained composed, and the bowlers did the same. Dew was prevalent. The bowlers performed admirably. I was pleased with the result we achieved. He praised the death bowling of Sam Curran, saying, "They bowled superbly and bowled pretty fine yorkers.

"After scoring 197, my bowlers came in and took quick wickets to keep the pressure on, and  Nathan then came on and took wickets. We never allowed the game to escape our control. There were certainly challenging times, but overall I think the team did a fantastic job.

 Dhawan appeared content with his batting after scoring 86 off 56 balls with a strike rate of 153 or above.

"We've played well in the first two games, and I'm working hard to raise my strike rate. The wicket rapidly regains velocity. We have a strong batting lineup this year, so we can keep the other team under strain by hitting boundaries and building momentum.

For Sam Curran, the primary objective was to nail the yorkers. "I believe that if you nail your yorker in those circumstances, you'll be fine. Fortunately, it was our day," said      Curran, who has a $2 million contract. "Some days it works, some days it won't.

"Our ball smelled like soap, so I was attempting to get it replaced. About the dew,  Curran said, "I don't really understand why they had their ball changed, but we have no control over it.  It's quite difficult. You attempt to exercise by submerging balls in water. The seam is exceedingly difficult to grasp. You attempt to bowl a yorker cross seam, but it's not a natural ball to do so. Although it's incredibly difficult, everyone must do it, so there isn't much room for complaint.

We simply need to keep improving because the bowlers and batters are both becoming better, which is why this event is the finest in the world.
