There were reports in the media in India that the T20 World Cup to be held this year could be postponed till 2022 due to the corona virus which has become a global epidemic. But now it will be decided in June whether the World Cup will be held or it will be postponed. The future of the IPL is tied to the future of the World Cup and whatever decision will be taken in June about the World Cup will decide the future of the IPL.

The World Cup is to be played in Australia from 18 October to 15 November.
