Ranveer Singh injures himself might not perform at the IPL opening ceremony

According to the latest reports, Padmaavat star Ranveer Singh injured his shoulder during one of his matches. Ranveer Singh who is currently busy to perform at the IPL opening ceremony now might be unable to do his act, however, will continue shooting for Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. 

 Ranveer's spokesperson while confirming his injury in a statement said, “Ranveer Singh has injured his shoulder during a football match and has been advised not to overstrain it for at least 1 month. Ranveer is, however, not taking any breaks and will continue shooting for Gully Boy as per schedule. Ranveer is in consultation with the doctors who will advise him, in a day or two, on whether he would able to perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony in which he is doing the finale act.”
 
Meanwhile,  Ranveer Singh going to see in Gully Boy,  opposite Alia Bhatt. The movie is slated to release in February 2019. Ranveer will also be seen in Rohit Shetty's Simmba opposite Sara Ali Khan. Simmba is slated to release on December 28, 2018.
 
Ranveer in an interview earlier had revealed that Gully Boy is a film close to his heart after his debut movie Band Baaja Baarat.
