Following a major missile attack by Iran on Israel, the Indian Embassy in Israel issued a safety advisory, urging Indian nationals to exercise caution and stay close to safety shelters. The advisory came after Iran launched at least 180 missiles at Israel in retaliation for Israeli military actions against Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza.

The Indian Embassy advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel within Israel and remain vigilant, following safety protocols. Emergency contact numbers of embassy officials were also provided for immediate assistance. "Please exercise caution, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay close to safety shelters. The embassy is closely monitoring the situation and remains in touch with Israeli authorities to ensure the safety of all our nationals," said the Embassy in a social media post.

The advisory followed shortly after Iran threatened retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli missile attack. While the missile barrage caused scattered damage and fires, no casualties were reported, as many of the missiles were intercepted.

Israel has escalated its offensive against Hezbollah, particularly after eliminating several top commanders of the militant group in recent days. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to continue military actions until it is safe for citizens to return to their homes near the Lebanon border. Hezbollah, supported by Iran, continues to fire rockets at Israel, demanding a ceasefire in Gaza.
