Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), an undertaking of the Indian Railways, has revised the price of breakfast and food available on trains and railway stations. IRCTC has issued a notification in this regard. According to the notification issued by the railway, now wedge breakfast will be available for Rs 35 in express and mail trains. For non-veg breakfast you have to pay 45 rupees. Apart from this, 70 rupees will have to be paid for eating the veg. The standard meal with egg curry will be priced at Rs 80. Apart from this, one has to pay 120 rupees for Standard Meal with Chicken Kadhi. Indian Railways has clarified that GST is already included in the new rates.

Overpayment in Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Duronto
In premium trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto, breakfast in AC First and AC Second Class can be priced at Rs 140 and 105 respectively. Apart from this, you will have to pay Rs 245 for AC First Class Lunch or Dinner, while for AC Second and AC Third, you will have to pay Rs 185. Evening tea in AC First Class will cost Rs 140. On the other hand, evening tea will be available for Rs 90 in AC second and third class trains of these classes. Passengers traveling in the sleeper class of Duronto trains may have to pay Rs 65 for breakfast, Rs 120 for lunch/dinner and Rs 50 for evening tea.
