PM Modi has put a lockdown on 21 days to deal with the havoc of Corona. IRCTC, a subsidiary of the railway, has decided to suspend the operation of three trains till 30 April. The booking of its three trains running in the country on the Varanasi-Indore route, Kashi Mahakal Express, Lucknow-New Delhi Tejas and Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas, was earlier stopped only from March 25 to April 15. Countrywide lockdown has been implemented in this period to prevent infection of coronavirus. Booking was allowed after the lockdown period.

Regarding this matter, the officials said that keeping in mind the increasing cases of coronavirus in the country daily, it has been decided not to run the train till April 30. An official of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) said that passengers who have booked tickets for the journey during this period can take a refund.

After the opening of the 21-day lockdown in the country, the Railways have already started all the efforts to prevent the infection of Coronavirus during the journey and to maintain social distance between people. After the removal of travel restrictions, it is considering all the suggestions for issuing advisory for railway passengers. In this, all passengers can also instruct them to use the 'Arogya Setu' app to monitor health with the condition of compulsorily following social distance before traveling. Only healthy passengers can also be instructed to travel by rail.
