Patna: The petition filed by others, including RJD supremo Laloo Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, PC Gupta, Sarla Gupta, Lara Project, has been disposed of by the Rouge Avenue Court in the IRCTC hotel allocation scam case. These people have not been relieved from the court. The court will now hear the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) case on July 31.

The court, in its judgement, made it clear that both the CBI and ED cases will be heard separately. It may be mentioned that the petition filed by Stunning Yadav had sought a stay on the ongoing trial in the ED case. During his appearance in the court on July 9, Sajjan had said that ED should not debate any charges until the CBI hearing in the case is ordered. The ED had registered the case on the FIR of the CBI.

The trial in the case registered by the CBI in the IRCTC case has been stayed by the court for the time being. Both the CBI and the ED agencies are investigating the case on their own. On August 25, 2018, ED filed a chargesheet in the IRCTC scam against 16 people, including former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, former Bihar Deputy CM Tejaswi yadav, PC Gupta, Sarla Gupta, in the Patiala House Court in Delhi.
