IRCTC to connect its first Bharat Gaurav Tourist train on June 21

New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will be making it India's first agency to connect two countries via tourist train under the Bharat Gaurav Scheme of Indian Railways from New Delhi in June 21, according to an official statement by IRCTC.

On the Shri Ramayana Yatra Circuit, the train will depart from Safdarjung railway station and travel about 8,000 kilometres between India and Nepal.

This train will go along the Ramayana Circuit, which is part of the "Swadesh Darshan" plan and includes major locations related with Lord Shri Rama's life. This journey will include a rail ride to the Ram Janaki temple in Janakpur, Nepal, for the first time in its history.

The train, which has a capacity of 600 passengers, will travel via significant cities like Ayodhya, Buxar, Janakpur, Sitamarhi, Kashi, Prayag, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi, Rameshwaram, Kanchipuram, and Bhadrachalam, according to IRCTC.

The Union government's "Dekho Apna Desh" programme to boost domestic tourism is the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train.
The projected Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train Tour begins in Ayodhya, Lord Rama's birthplace, with visits to Shri Ram Janmbhumi temple and Hanuman temple, as well as Bharat Mandir in Nandigram.
