Hurting religious sentiments and affecting the images of Ideals is quite common in Bollywood. In the name of freedom of expression, the directors and filmmakers are attacking the religious sentiments of people. There are various reasons for including such objectionable scenes in movies like for publicity stunts or to get instant limelight. In today’s world of social media, it is very easy to get social media limelight by showing objectionable content. Another such incident comes to light in which a woman dressed like Kali is shown smoking in a poster. The poster was released by the director Leena Manimekalai on social media. After this, it grabbed the limelight of media and various people shows their dissatisfaction over it. Social media users demanded the arrest of the director and the removal of poster. But this is not the first time when by portraying Hindu deities in such a manner Bollywood hurts the sentiments of the people. Have a look at the movies, Web series and documentaries which has hurt the sentiments by targeting a particular religion and its belief.

Padmaavat: Sanjay Leela Bansali, the director of Padmaavat was accused that the film distorted facts about Rani Padmini of Chittor. After a lot of controversies, the film managed to hit the screen in January 2018,

Kedarnath: Kedarnath faced flak from the priest of Uttrakhand stating that the film Hurts Hindu religious sentiments and promoted Lovejihad.

Behen Hogi Teri:Rajkumar Rao starer Behn Hogi Teri outraged sparks for showing lead actor dressed like Lord Shiva and sitting on the motorcycle. A police complaint was filed against this poster as people find it objectionable.

Dabangg 3: Dabangg 3 is yet to release but it landed into controversy because of its title song in which Salman Khan is dancing with a group of Sadhu. A group of people find it objectionable and demanded action on it.

PK: Amir Khan starrer PK gets into controversy for targeting the Hindu religion and for showing objectionable content in the movie. Basically, the movie was based on the concept of blind faith due to which it consists of objectionable scenes several religious and political groups accused it of attacking religious sentiments, especially of Hindu religion.
