New Delhi: Covid vaccination was the only weapon that could curb the continuous deaths due to infection in the country during the fierce havoc of the global epidemic coronavirus. When the government started corona vaccination, a large number of people came forward and got vaccinated. Many people also died due after vaccination. Now on this, the Center has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court and clearly said that the government is not responsible for the deaths after corona vaccination. In fact, the government's affidavit has come in response to a petition filed by the parents of two young women, who died after getting the corona vaccine last year.

According to the report, the central government said in its affidavit that in cases where there has been death after getting vaccinated, the families of such people can file a case in the civil court seeking compensation, as this is the only option. The plea has sought an inquiry into the deaths and an expert medical board to prepare a protocol for early detection and timely treatment of adverse effects after vaccination. While filing its affidavit on the petition last week, the Health Ministry had said that holding the government responsible for post-vaccination deaths and seeking compensation was not a legally appropriate step.

The Central government told the Supreme Court that the Covid vaccine in use under the Covid vaccination drive is developed by a third party. They are considered safe and effective. The government also emphasized that there is no legal obligation to get corona vaccine. Whoever feels like taking it and feels safe should get vaccinated. The ministry said that the vaccine that is used under the vaccination drive is manufactured by someone else. It is reviewed in India as well as other countries and then it is considered safe and effective.
