In the latest event of Ishqbaaz, Anika and Bhavya are busy with the Rangoli when Dadi enters and asks them to make footprints on the floor. Bhavya is afraid as she feels it is done by family and she is only a guest. Anika tells her she is the daughter of the house. Bhavya talks about how she is celebrating Diwali after a long time. This makes Anika emotional as well. She recalls Diwali days that she spent at the orphanage where she was denied sweets. Shivaay hears their discussion and leaves.

Rudra frightens Jhanvi and Khanna with the sound of crackers. When Shivaay gets Anika's clothes back in their room and puts them in the cupboard. He tells Anika he shouldn't have listened to Tanya. They share a romantic moment. Shivaay also gives Anika her charm bracelet. Before leaving, Gauri hears Dadi talking about footprints and how she wished Gauri was there. Gauri decides to make them before going. Bhavya notices them and thinks Anika might have done it.

Anika and Shivaay exchange gifts. While Anika makes Ladoos for Shivaay, he gets Sahil from the school to meet her. The entire Oberoi family does puja together. While Gauri is leaving the mansion, her dupatta catches fire. Om, however, saves her and burns his hands instead. She looks away, wishes him happy Diwali and goes. Shivaay fulfils Anika's wish of having toffees by putting a chocolate fountain in the backyard. He confesses his love for her, which makes Anika shed tears of joy.
