With this defeat, East Bengal reached the eighth place in the table and their hopes of winning their first League title were also over. It was the first win in seven matches for the 2016-17 champion Ijo FC. Stanley Rosario's coaching team now has 11 points from 10 matches and is in seventh place. Kerala Blasters were forced to score points in their 100th match of the Indian Super League (ISL) by playing a goalless draw with Northeast United FC on Friday. After this goalless draw of the sixth season of the league played at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, the way of playoffs has become very difficult for the host Northeast.
