On the sad demise of the Former Prime Minister of the country, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Israel and Canada expressed heir condelence and paid homage to the great leader.
The erstwhile PM passed away due a kidney disorder on Thursday, 2018.
Vajpayee was 93 and was in the hospital for about a month. He was the 10th prime minister of the India.
His last rites were performed at the Smriti Sthal with full state honors, on the 17th of August.
The Canadian Foreign Ministry wrote, "Canada extends its sincerest condolences to the people of #India following the death of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who devoted his life to the benefit of his country. We extend our deepest condolences to the government and people of India at the loss of #India's former PM Vajpayee."
The Foreign Ministry of Israel wrote that the great leader was "a genuine friend of Israel."
The Ministry tweeted, "He will always be remembered as a genuine friend of Israel. ????????#AtalBihariVajpayee #Vajpayee."
His funeral was attended by leaders across the globe like King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk, Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, Sri Lanka's acting Foreign Minister Lakshman Kiriella and former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai.
