Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has said that the researcher data from Chandrayaan-2 will be released in October for worldwide use. On Tuesday, this second lunar mission of the country completed one year.
ISRO had carried out a major mission through the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) - MKIII1, named 'Bahubali'. Under which ISRO launched Chandrayaan-2 in space on 22 July 2019 from the second launch pad at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. ISRO said that 'extensive data has been obtained from the payloads of Chandrayaan-2. Research is being conducted on the availability of water and ice on the Moon. In addition, the information sent about the available gases and minerals is being analyzed in detail. A lot of useful information can come out of this analysis.
The data sent by Chandrayaan-2 is considered important in many ways. It is expected that the plan was to be shared in the annual lunar planetary science conference (ALPSC) to be held in March. But it was postponed due to coronavirus. Chandrayaan-2 entered the Moon's orbit on 20 August 2019. All its 8 payloads are functioning correctly which is a delight for Indian researchers. This news has proved that scientists have done their best.
