In view of the increasing spread of Covid 19 in India, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has introduced the Covid 19 Kavach Insurance Policy. All general and standalone health insurance companies will have to offer this insurance policy. It has been made keeping in mind the health problems of the people during the epidemic corona period. In which, if found corona infected, other medical expenses will be covered including hospitalization, before and after admit and care in the residence. We are going to tell you in detail about this insurance policy.

1. It covers bed charges, nursing charges, blood tests, PPE kit, Pran Vayu, ICU, and doctor's consulting fees.

2. Consultation, check-up, and diagnosis expenses are covered before admission to the hospital. On such expenditure, cover is received up to 15 days before being admitted to the hospital.

3. It provides coverage on medical expenses up to 30 days after discharge from the hospital.

4. If your Covid 19 is being treated at your residence, then it will cover health monitoring and medicines expenditure for 14 days.

5. According to this insurance policy, the cover will also be available on expenditure on Ayurveda and related treatment.

6. The cover is also provided for transfer from residence to hospital and ambulance from hospital to residence. In this, you will get Rs 2000 per AI Damit in the hospital.

7. In this insurance policy, you have the option to add hospital daily cash cover. Under which the insurance company gives 0.5% of the amount of insurance every day for 24 hours continuously according to the admission. This facility is available for 15 days.
