Lucknow: The cold wave continues in eastern Uttar Pradesh. It was cold. The sun is coming out of the clouds for a short time in the day. Due to this, the day temperature is increasing slightly. However, with the sun setting, the temperature is once again falling rapidly. According to the Met department, rain is expected on February 4 and 5.

Moisture is retained in the air. The maximum temperature recorded during the day was 17.2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. This is about five degrees Celsius below normal. With this, the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.7 degrees Celsius. The maximum humidity in the air was 97% and the minimum humidity was 71%. On Tuesday, the cold wave was at a speed of about 14 kmph during the day. Due to the icy wind coming from the mountains, the warm clothes were proving to be inadequate. The weather was similar on Wednesday.

The morning began with a thick fog. Visibility remained zero till 8 am. People couldn't see a few feet away. Cars were seen crawling on the roads. During the day, the drivers were operating the trains with the help of headlights. However, after 10 a.m., the weather gradually started clearing up. The fog was cut but the humidity remained. Now the department has said that there may be a change in the weather from Thursday. Light rain is expected on February 4 and 5 due to the activity of the western disturbance.
