India: An Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawan opened fire on three associates before shooting himself at a camp in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. The incident took place at Devika Ghat community center in the district at around 3.30 pm.

According to a senior ITBP official, constable Bhupendra Singh shot at his comrades, injuring a head constable and two constables.

report said that they has been admitted to the hospital and now they are out of  danger. According to them, constable Singh later shot himself with an INSAS service rifle and died on the spot.

He was a member of the 8th Battalion of the force and was currently assigned to 'F' Company of 2nd Ad-hoc Battalion of ITBP deployed in J&K for security duties.

According to the official, border guarding force has ordered a court of inquiry.
